Varsity Cheer
 Allison Lewis - Head Coach This is Allison's 4th year as Head Coach at Canton. She is a 2003 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and member of the Varsity Cheer Team for 4 years. Allison attended the University of Michigan where she cheered for 4 years and was also a Champion staff member for 3 years. Allison most recently completed her Masters Degree in Human Nutrition in 2009 and plans to pursue a career in Sports Nutrition or Wellness Planning after completing her Registered Dietitian requirements. She keeps busy with coaching and is excited for the upcoming year! |
 Dorothy Brown - Assistant Coach Dorothy is in her 4th year of coaching at Canton. Her first two years at Canton were spent coaching the JV team before moving up to Varsity. She attended Woodhaven high school where she was a competitive cheerleader before transferring to Truman High School where she was also a Varsity Cheerleader and graduated from in 2004. After high school she attended Central Michigan University before deciding to transfer to Oakland University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Dorothy is currently pursuing her Masters in Counseling and plans to pursue a career in Family and Marriage Counseling. She keeps busy being a mom and coaching and is excited for another great year at Canton! |
JV Cheer
Teona Wash This will be Teona's 2nd year coaching the JV team at Canton. Prior to Canton, she was the Varsity Head Coach at Oak Park High School for 2 years. Teona graduated form Mercy High School in 2003 where she was on the Varsity Cheer Team for three years, and Co-Captain for two. While at Mercy, she volunteered her time as the head coach for her former middle school team at Christ the King in Detroit. She went on to attend college at Grand Valley State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Communications in 2007. She currently works full time and is planning on continuing her education in the Nursing Program and its ecstatic for another year of coaching the JV team! |
Freshman Cheer
 Melissa Knepshield This will be Melissa’s 2nd year helping with Canton Cheerleading!!!! Being able to coach the first freshman team was such an honor and she couldn’t have been more thrilled for the opportunity. While in high school, Melissa was a Livonia Churchill cheerleader and a volunteer cheerleading coach for the Livonia Junior Athletic League, Oriole and Eagle football teams. After graduating high school in 2004, she then went on to attend GO CHIEFS!!!!! |
Competitive Assistants (All Levels)
Littany Supka - Littany is a 2003 graduate of Mt. Pleasant high school where she was a member of the cheer team for 3 years. She most recently graduated from the University of Michigan in 2007.
Mariah Lewis - A 2009 graduate of Mt. Pleasant high school, she currently attends the University of Michigan. She is a former MPHS cheerleader and was apart of the 2009 Divison 2 State Runner-up team. She is also Coach Allison's sister.
