Canton Chiefs Cheerleading

About Us

The Canton Cheerleading Program consists of a Freshman, JV and Varsity squad who cheer at all home football games. The Varsity team cheers at all away games as well. During the winter season the program consists of Varsity and JV Competitive cheer teams who compete in about 10-12 competitions throughout the season as well as cheer at a select amount of home basketball games.

Practices

Canton Cheerleading teams practice 3 days a week in the evenings during football season and the competitive teams practice 5 days a week. In order to be successful in our program a strong commitment is needed as well as a good work ethic and a strong desire to push yourself to the next level.

Summer Camp

During the summer the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams attend Champion Cheerleading camp which traditionally falls in mid to end July, early August. This year the Varsity team will be attending "Beast" camp while the Freshman and JV teams attend "Classic" camp. Attendance at camp is strongly encouraged because it is a great learning and team bonding experience as well as a lot of fun!! All of the skills that are used during the season will be learned from camp and summer practices.
